About Sakura Hanami
It’s a Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the beauty of flowers, “flower” in this case almost always meaning cherry blossoms or plum blossoms from the end of March to early May when Sakura bloom all over Japan. In modern-day Japan, hanami tends to consists of having an outdoor party beneath the Sakura during daytime or at night (where many parks set up special lights/lanterns for night viewing).

Spring has arrived in Toronto when the High Park cherry blossoms hit full bloom. For hordes of local photographers, getting the perfect shot of the Sakura trees has become a yearly tradition.

Limits on Gatherings – Spring 2021
With government restrictions limiting gatherings, it may not be suitable for some people to visit the park this year. So, I thought I would finally post our walk from a few years ago. Hope you enjoy the walk with us.
