Rafting/Floating down Bow River Calgary.

So last Saturday, 14th of Aug 2021, the Pinedas braved rafting/floating down the Bow River in Calgary, AB. This is the first time ever that our family got to experience this activity so it was a bit scary at first. Anyway, we parked our SUV at the paid parking lot at the Memorial Drive just across Prince Island Park. From there, we took a cab to Shouldice Park where we launched our raft, a 4-person inflatable boat #IntexSeahawk4. You may of course use another car if you wish to. This, though, is something we find a bit inconvenient for us. Taxi fare was about CAD30+ and that’s including tip.

The rafting took almost two hours. At first we thought it’s more than enough duration since we just wanted to experience it. But it wasn’t. How we wish we started at Bowness Park instead.

Nevertheless, this activity’s highly recommended during summer. Do it late in the afternoon when it is no longer super hot. We absolutely had a great time This is something we’ll be doing again and again.
