Pretty well every time we come to Vancouver we go for a drive around Stanley Park, it’s one of the iconic sights in Vancouver. At one time there used to be a variety of animals in a zoo like setting here including monkeys and polar bears, but those animals are now long gone. Still the beauty and quiet oasis that Stanley Park is in the busy city makes it for a perfect escape. You can bike around on the sea wall, in the summer there are beaches to relax by and then there is the Vancouver Aquarium that has many things to keep your interest. All in all not a bad place to spend a few hours.
From Stanley Park we headed over the Lions Gate Bridge to North/West Vancouver and on to Horseshoe Bay, just a short drive away.
