Taking a bicycle ride around Stanley Park on the Stanley Park Seawall is almost a mandatory thing to do when you visit Vancouver, especially in the summer!

So, I’ll tell you a bit about how and where you can rent a bicycle to visit Stanley Park.

There are no bicycle rental shops WITHIN Stanley Park.

You can only rent bicycles WITHIN Stanley Park from the city-support MOBI bicycle share stations.

However, don’t worry, there are lots of bicycle rental shops within a few blocks of Stanley Park. Most people rent from these shops.

I’ll first tell you about the MOBI bicycle share program, then I will tell you about the Bicycle rental shops within a few blocks of Stanley Park.

Mobi Bicycle Share

Mobi Bicycle Share is a city-funded bicycle share system. You can rent a standard bicycle or e-bike with a helmet from one of the many stations throughout the city of Vancouver.
You unlock a bike at one station and return it to any other station in the system. Typically, you have 30 minutes to use the bicycle before you have to return it to a station to avoid overage charges.

They are best for short one-way trips.

E-Bikes are available for all plans but have additional fees.

As of May 2023, there are 6 Mobi Bike Stations in Stanley Park at:
• Second Beach
• Ceperley Park
• Third Beach
• Stanley Park Information Booth
• Vancouver Aquarium
• Totem Poles

Bicycle Rental Shops near Stanley Park

There are lots of Bicycle Rental Shops near Stanley Park.

I won’t mention prices to rent a bicycle in this video because there are so many different options based on the time you want to rent for and the type of bicycle you want to rent.

We have chosen a selection of bicycle rental shops to highlight.

Most bike rental shops will require you to be 19+ and use a credit card(or cash deposit) and government issued photo ID(Driver’s Licence, Passport, etc.) to rent a bike.

Bike helmets and locks are usually included in the rental price, but be sure to check.

Spokes Bike Rentals is a huge full-service bike rental shop near the Georgia Street entrance to Stanley Park.

They have Step-Thru Cruisers, Step-Over Cruisers, City Hybrids, Mountain Bikes, Step-Thru E Cruisers, Step-Over E Cruisers, Tandems, Road Bikes, Jr. Mountain Bikes, Child Trailers, Child Seats, and Trail-A-Bikes for rent.

Complimentary locks, helmets, baskets, and bags.

Bikes and Blades is a full-service bike rental shop near the Georgia Street entrance to Stanley Park.

They have single bikes, electric bikes, scooters, rollerblades, tandem bikes, trailer + bike, tag along + bike, baby seat + bike for rentals.

Bikes on Robson is a full service bike shop. They rent and repair bicycles.

They rent city bikes, tandem bikes, e-scooters, and baskets. Helmets are included in bike rental fee. Locks are $2

Engish Bay Bike Rentals is a full-service bike rental shop near the English Bay entrance to Stanley Park.

They have city hybrid (most popular), beach cruiser, crosstrail, road bike, turbo e-bike, tandems for 2, jr. mountain bike, kids bike, weehoo tag along bike, child trailer, child seat, trail-a-bike, and dog trailers for rentals.

They also offer guided bike tours via their partner Vancouver Bike Tours. As of May 2023(from their website), the 3.5 hour tour goes to Stanley Park(9:30am -Towers and Totems Bike Tour: $65). The bike rental is included in the tour.

Coal Harbour Bike Rentals is a bicycle rental bike shop located on the Coal Harbour Seawall near Stanley Park.

They rent hybrid, electric, tandem , mountain, cruiser, road, and kids bikes and accessories. They also rent Electric Bikes and E-Scooters. They also sell bicycles.

Urban Wave Bike Rentals is a bicycle rental shop located on the Coal Harbour Seawall near Stanley Park.

They don’t have a website, but have a Facebook page. It doesn’t provide any information about their rentals.

Stanley Park Bicycle Tours
There are a number of companies which offer fantastic guided bicycle tours that go into Stanley Park.

Quite often the bicycle rental price is included in the tour price so it makes the overall tour price quite reasonable!
